creating high-performance POP for Staples — that was easy!
When Staples wanted to improve the shopping experience for their customers in time for the holiday selling season, they did the equivalent of hitting their own Easy Button: they called Beeline, Leggett's in-store display group.
The challenge was to recreate the Staples printer aisle to provide shoppers with a more intuitive, engaging and user-friendly shopping experience that would drive customers to premium price point products.
Working with Staples and HP, the Beeline team took a holistic approach to the challenge — one that encompassed everything from buyer behavior and design to manufacturing and installation.
As you can see, see the result was both aesthetically attractive and strategically elegant.
Positioning HP as the category captain, the solution brings together key consumer insights with design elements and signage to create an environment that guides shoppers through the decision-making process. Shoppers are provided with a natural starting point and usage-based questions are employed to guide them to the appropriate printer section — where a clear, easy-to-understand comparison of products helps them make their ultimate purchase decision.
Messaging and design consistency were maintained through all shopper touch points — including mobile and online content accessed through smart phones.
The bottom-line performance was just as attractive as the aesthetics — shopper "stop-and-engage" activities doubled and in-store printer sales increased by 50%.
