Leggett says goodbye to Dann Dee Display Fixtures.

As part of the company's long-term strategic plan, Leggett & Platt has recently sold the Dann Dee Display Fixtures name and catalog customer base to Carlson JPM. The move reflects Leggett's commitment to serving our core customer base, and frees the company to devote more resources, energies and expertise to the growing number of national and international retail organizations on our client list.

While Dann Dee continues to stand out as a quality brand, it stood apart from the other brands in the Leggett portfolio as a catalog operation that primarily served smaller, independent and local retailers. As a result, the divesture was undertaken to promote the best interests of Leggett, Dann Dee, Carlson — and, most importantly, the customers of each of the organizations.

In putting together this deal, great care was taken to ensure that the sale would only have positive results for the company. For example, all previously shared resources were separated prior to the sale...our Middlebury, IN facility continues to serve as a major point of distribution for Leggett...and the import and manufacturing resources of our China Fixtures facility remain an exclusive possession of Leggett & Platt.

While bidding farewell to a longtime member of the family can be a sad occasion, it is far easier when you know it's the right thing to do for our companies...and our customers.
