Once again, Leggett's annual party was a huge success and the talk of GlobalShop.
A party can only be as lively, interesting and entertaining as the people who attend, so we'd like to thank all of our guests whose enthusiasm and fellowship made Togas, Tunics & Tonics a huge success.
And even though it may be a down year for the economy, it proved to be an upbeat night for the hundreds who attended the event, capping the first day of GlobalShop.
In keeping with our Roman theme, the party was held at Caesars Palace. Originally slated to be held beneath the stars in the hotel's breathtaking Temple Pool area, high winds forced the party to move indoors at the last minute — but the party never missed a beat.
The high winds were not the only thing howling that evening, as evidenced by an inspired impromptu karaoke performance of Born To Be Wild by a guest from Bogart Communications. And when the guests weren't center stage, a live DJ spinning the hottest tunes from the last three decades, set an upbeat mood for the festivities.
In keeping with tradition, the food was as plentiful as it was delectable. Guests noshed on hors d'oeuvres of shrimp, bruschetta and beef tenderloin skewers as they mingled with their friends and peers. In addition, they indulged in wood-fired pizzas, mini-burgers and risotto at lavish food stations — and then topped it all off at the gelato bar and espresso station.
When putting together Leggett parties, our only hope is that our guests enjoy themselves as much as we do. From everything we heard this year, we've succeeded. Of course, we're already looking forward to another great party next year — and hope that all our good friends are, too.
